A 21-year-old student of the Federal College of Education in Plateau, Nenfort Ezekiel has lost her life after a failed attempt to terminate her pregnancy.
The deceased girl was found in her room on Monday by neighbors trying to find out if she was okay, after she wasn’t spotted out for classes as usual.
According to reports, Nenfort’s door was forced open when she didn’t respond to greetings, and her lifeless body was discovered.
Tyopev Terna, the Plateau Police Command’s PRO, confirmed the incident of the girl’s death.
According to the police, the girl was rushed to the Pankshin General Hospital, after the case was reported, where doctors examined and confirmed her dead.
However, the hospital indicated in a report that the late student attempted to abort a pregnancy, which probably led to her death
Police have launched investigations into locating the man responsible for the deceased girl’s pregnancy while her corpse has since been taken by her family members for burial.
