The Governor of Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike on monday, sacked all his special advisers but one.
According to a statement released by Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, said only the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Bishop Winston Iwo was retained.
No explanation has been given by the Governor on why he sacked the special advisers and left only one.
Gov. Wike however thanked the sacked special advisers for their services and wished them well.
The state’s Executive Council was earlier sacked by the Governor on June 24.
The governor, who has less than two years into his first tenure, is yet to re-appoint new commissioners.
