Zimbabwean Man Secretly Films Neighbour’s Wife While She Bathes

A married Zimbabwean man has been accused of secretly filming his neighbour’s wife as she bathed without any form of clothing.

The peeping Tom, Abraham Matenda has been arraigned before the court for shooting a video of his fellow tenant’s wife while she was bathing.
Abraham Matenda (29) appeared before Masvingo Magistrate, Mr Peter Madiba for invasion of privacy/criminal insult as defined in section 95 (1) (b) of the criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.
Prosecuting council, Nancy Makuvise, told the court that, on the 30th July 2017 Abraham Matenda invaded the privacy of the complainant (name withheld for ethical reasons) by placing a phone under the bathroom roof and recording a video of the complainant whilst bathing.
The woman told the court that she discovered the recording cell phone after completing her bath rituals and took the phone to Abraham’s wife who confirmed that the phone belonged to her husband.
She went on to show the accused’s wife the video, which was deleted afterwards.
On further enquiry, Abraham’s wife went on to open the phone’s gallery and found it containing another video of the complainant bathing in the toilet which she also deleted.
ZimNews.net reports that in his defence, the accused denied all the charges levelled against him, arguing that on the day in question he was not at home and he had left his phone charging.
However, the complaint told the court that she has an audio recording of the accused admitting to have recorded the complainant while bathing.
The case was adjourned to the 11th of August 2017 to allow the accused to bring his witnesses to court.
