Ogun State Police Arrest 3 Men with Human Skulls


The Ogun Police Command has arrested three suspects, Saibu Popoola, Aliu Ajiroba and Jimoh Ijiola for possession of two human skulls.
The policemen attached to Ayetoro Division on routine patrol, approached the duo of Popoola and Ajiroba on a motorcycle along Idagba Olodo Road, with a bag which looked suspicious, on Thursday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said when a search was conducted on them and the two human skulls were found inside the bag. He said the duo disclosed to investigators that the skulls were given to them by Jimoh Ijiola who live in Erinpa area of the town.
Oyeyemi said based on the information learned, the Divisional Police Officer, Ayetoro Division, Makinde Kayode, directed detectives to the resident of the suspect where he was also arrested.
He said;
“In his own statement, Ijiola denied being the person that gave them the skulls, but said that they all got them from neighboring Republic of Benin and that their intention was to use it for money rituals.”
