The wife of a police officer Mrs Ngozi Adekeye aged 28, has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly inflicting serious injury on the buttocks of a 10-year old girl, Miracle Oluebube who lived with her.
According to information learned, Adekeye inflicted the injuries with a hot-pressing iron which she placed on the victim buttocks. This took place at Kayode Police Barrack in Lagos where both resides.
The suspect injured the victim for committing an undisclosed offense in the house. She was arrested and charged before Ogba Magistrates court for the offense committed.
However, she pleaded not guilty before the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Davis Abegunde who granted her bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 17 July 2017.
