A member of the Harvard delegation,Hamadah Zah, shared his excitement after meeting with Oba Akran of Badagry, saying he is excited to meet a real king.
Zah took to his instagram page to reveal his excitement, he wrote;
Finally got to meet a real king He is the 15th king from the line of descendants and oversees the coastal town of badagry which is about 2.5 hiurs from lagos. The city is home to the first missionaries in the country, the first storey building and sadly the point of no return, slave trading route #KingofBadagry
Nigerian entrepreneur Toyosi Akerele Ogunsiji led a delegation including her classmates and friends from Harvard Kennedy School, to Badagry last Friday.They met His Royal Majesty, the Oba Akran Of Badagry, De Aholu Menu-Toyi I in his Palace.
Oba Akran is the 15th King from this line of descendants, his father was the 13th.
