Infant Dauda, who made news after his stepmother remove his private parts in Niger state is dead. He passed on following a brief ailment.
Mariam Kolo, the DG of the Child’s Right Agency affirmed the development to PUNCH Metro on Wednesday, saying the infant had malaria which made his temperature to rise. She insisted that regardless of all the efforts made to get him healthy, he still kicked the bucket.
Kolo disclosed to Punch Metro that the casualty had been slated for a genital transplant in the United Kingdom before he died.
She said the ailment was not a due to his prior condition as he had been doing admirably in the wake of undertaking a series of restorative surgeries.
Kolo communicated bitterness at the passing of the child.
On June 18, 2016, Dauda, who was two-month-old at the time, lost his private parts after a savage assault by his 17-year-old stepmother, Bara’atu Rabiu.
Rabiu, who removed the private parts, did not give any explanation behind her demonic actions.
The state government had ventured in to rescue the circumstance and was arranging restorative/corrective surgeries for the casualty when he died.
