Nigerian Politician Suspended in The U.K Over Homophobic Comments

Chika Amadi, a councilor and a member of the Labour party in the United Kingdom has been suspended for sharing her homophobic views on social media.
The politician of Nigerian decent who is also a pastor tagged Pride marchers as ‘evil’. Chika Amadi also branded those that participated in the Gay Pride events as ‘pedophiles’ and threatened those who challenged her statements.
A Twitter user had called her out for her homophobic comments and she responded with;
“Evil. If you dare walk naked in front of my child God will give you terrible assignment that will put you to perpetual sleep. Be warned.”

 Harrow Council’s leader, Sachin Shah, told the Evening Standard:
‘As Leader of Harrow Council and a proud Harrow resident I absolutely reject and condemn these abhorrent statements.
Homophobic views have no place in our community – which is one of the most diverse and accepting in all of the UK. We stand for equal rights for all – and I have asked the national Labour Party to deal with this issue swiftly and decisively.’
