Super Eagles lost 2-1 to England in World Cup friendly

Nigeria’s Super Eagles lost 2-1 to England on Saturday in a World Cup preparatory friendly game at the Wembley Stadium.
The Eagles began on a nervy start, allowing the English team to make endless incursion into the 18-yard box. It soon resulted in a goal for the English team.
Gary Cahill headed England into the lead in the 7th minute of the game to make it 1-0.
Kieran Trippier swung in the resulting corner, Chelsea defender Gary Cahill got in between two Nigeria defenders and thumped a full-blooded header into the top corner.
Poor defending from the Nigerian side made Harry Kane doubled England’s lead on 39 minutes.
Eric Dier picked off a poor pass and the Three Lions burst forward. Dier played the ball to Raheem Sterling, who had the composure to hold the ball up for Harry Kane.
The Tottenham man took a touch and drilled a low finish into the bottom corner. It was horrible goalkeeping from Francis Uzoho, as the ball  went right through his grasp.
The Super Eagles grew more confidence in the second half as they dominated play. It soon paid off as Alex Iwobi scored for Nigeria in the 47th minute to make it 2-1.
It was well deserved. Nigeria had come out firing in the second half and were back in the contest. Former Watford man Odion Ighalo got in behind, held off Kyle Walker and his shot across goal struck the foot of the post.
The ball rebounded to Alex Iwobi inside the box and the Arsenal man strokes in a well-taken, first-time finish.
The Nigerian side gave account of themselves in the second half, with England unable to add another goal.
